Chairs for Charity In Park City, Utah

Tis the season for giving. Join Vail Resorts and Park City in supporting 18 local non-profits by voting for your favorite community chair during the Chairs for Charity event. Park City Mountain donated chairs from the loved Motherlode chairlift to be designed by 18 different artists. Which one is the best?

If you are in town stop by the Kimball Art Center between December 7–10 to cast your vote. The chair with the most votes will bring in extra funds for it’s non-profit. More details about Chairs for Charity and EpicPromise is available at www.epicpromise.com.

Snow hit the Wasatch Mountains this past week, with more storms lined up for next week.  Park City ski resorts have quickly transformed from fall foliage to a winter wonderland.  The picture to the left is the Silver Lake Base Area at Deer Valley after Wednesday’s storm.

If you are in need of motivation to dust the skis off and get your legs ready, Ski Utah has provided skiers and snowboarders with this motivational video in order to GET STOKED for the upcoming Winter.

Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade on Main St!

dogs halloweenEvery Halloween Park City gears up for it’s numerous Holiday themed events all over town.  Halloween on Main Street was actually named one of the top Halloween celebrations in the country by Travel and Leisure magazine.   Perhaps the favorite among Parkites is the “Howl-O-Ween” Dog Parade that runs from the Egyptian Theatre to Lower Main St. Every Halloween.  The parade is from 5:00 – 6:00 pm on Saturday October 31st.

All dogs and their pet humans are encouraged to dress up!

Gondola UnVAIL-ing!

gondola constructionThe construction on the new Quicksilver Gondola connecting Park City Mountain Resort and the Canyons is well underway. An eight-passenger, high-speed gondola running from the base of Silverlode Lift at Park City to Canyons’ Flatiron Lift. This gondola connection will create the single largest ski resort in the United States. Also at the Park City terminal for the new Gondola, a brand new Snow Hut Restaurant and Lodge which will feature 500 indoor seats and a top-of-the-line kitchen and culinary experience. Both will be skier ready for the 2015/2016 season!
